A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: the 10th Army's morning report for February 1; that the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division beat off attacks, north of Aprilia, on January 31; of the 1st Parachute Corps' front line, as of February 1, noting the widening of a bridgehead; on German divisions and commanders, from January 31; a report on the 14th Army, on January 28; that Kesselring justifies to Goering his defensive actions after the Anzio landing, on January 28; of the 51st Mountain Corps relieving the 76th Corps at Catignano, on February 1; of the Germans' priorities for mining the Adriatic, on January 31; and T81/46 (describing the German supply situation in Italy) was sent to the Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) for the Chief of the Imperial General Staff (CIGS) (see 5587).
