Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of the German interception of British communications in the Anzio bridgehead, on January 31; that the German construction of defences in south Italy is suffering from the withdrawal of troops, air and artillery attack and the non-delivery of materials, on January 27; and of ship movements and losses in the Adriatic, for January 30-February 1; and on South-east Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) command situation report for January 31.
