Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: the 10th Army's intermediate report for January 31, stating that the 44th Infantry Division is at Cassino and constructing a new defence line; the 10th Army's day report for January 30, noting the 44th Infantry Division being driven back in bitter fighting; that the German Navy are to lay a minefield to protect the Gulf of Fiume, on January 30; Naval Headlines; and from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, describing Allied raids on Berlin, on January 28 and 29, and that the Japanese Embassy was hit.
