Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the German 51st Mountain Corps, proceeding by road after detraining near Florence, has been held up by mist, on January 25; on the movements of the 65th Infantry Division, on January 24-25; a German 10th Army report, for January 26; the 2nd Air Fleet's final report, for January 25, describing the Anzio bridgehead; the 10th Army's day report for January 25, noting that the 44th Division is under heavy attack; and of German defences being constructed and planned, which are thought to be north and south of Rome, on January 12.
