A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division reports late on January 25 that Aprilia, some 9 miles north of Nettuno, had fallen to the Allies after the German anti-tank defences had been destroyed by Allied naval fire; a 10th Army report for January 26; a German Air Force (GAF) report for January 25, including an update on the results of an Allied air raid on Sofia on January 24; of GAF bombing sorties against the Allied landing bridgehead in the Anzio-Nettuno area, on the nights of January 23/24 and 24/25; of sorties by ground attack aircraft from both sides during the hours of daylight; and that some 250-300 Allied ships are standing off the bridgehead, on January 25.
