Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following messages: from the Japanese minister in Madrid, describing talks with the Spanish Foreign Minister on January 17 on the position of Spain and Portugal and the general background to the war; on the Allied plans for Madeira; on a possible Allied second front; and on a visit by Beaverbrook to Churchill at a place where the Prime Minister (PM) was undergoing treatment to inform him of the disquiet in the Conservative Party over the question of Poland; and the PM asks the Lord Privy Seal to find the source of the leak.
