A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report for Mr Loxley; a BONIFACE report for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); a signal from the PM to the Supreme Commander in the Mediterranean referencing a paragraph in a BONIFACE report of January 9 (see 5309); two copies of a signal to the PM; a BONIFACE/SUNSET report from the Code and Cypher School (CSS) to Hut 3 signalled as SLICK 27 to Group Captain Winterbotham; on Southern Europe: of the movement of the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division from the Rome area to the Adriatic coast, on January 6 and 9; on South-east Europe: of plans for carrying out a concentrated attack on guerrilla supply traffic, on January 9; and on the Russian Front: that the 17th Army anticipates fresh Russian attempts to land in Crimea simultaneously with an assault from the Bakssy bridgehead, on January 8.
