This file includes the following reports: BONIFACE reports from the Code and Cypher School (CSS) to the Prime Minister (PM); BONIFACE/SUNSET reports from the CSS to the PM; a letter dated January 3 which makes reference to Frozen 1031; a special unnumbered signal, dated January 1, for C from Martin, referencing Frozen 1031; two copies of a draft signal concerning the Irish minister in Rome; an abbreviated air situation report for December 30; on Southern Europe: of the damage caused by an Allied air raid on Nice, on January 2; on the Russian Front: of the reaction to Hitler's orders concerning the merging of administrative and supply services as part of economising personnel, on December 31; on South-east Europe: that the German Army authorities attach the greatest importance to supplies going by sea to Zara and Sibernik, on December 28; and from the Irish minister in Rome, describing the Italian political situation, as at December 21.
