Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE report for Mr Loxley; a BONIFACE report from the Code and Cypher School (CSS) to Hut 3; on Southern Europe: the 76th Panzer Corps' situation report of January 1 highlighting that weather is hindering operations in Italy; the 5th Mountain Division reports Allied reinforcements in the centre of the Italian Front, and that the Germans expect an attack on January 2; heavy Allied damage is reported on Padua, on December 31; of damage to vessels caused by an Allied attack on Zara, in Yugoslavia, on January 1; and a German appreciation of Allied intentions, on December 31; on South-east Europe: that partisans prepared to attack Banjaluke during the night of December 30; that Germans operating against Mjlet discover that the guerrillas had left for Vis island five days earlier, on December 31; and that Mjlet is in German hands but has not been completely combed, on (December 31?); on the Russian Front: a 4th Air Fleet review, for January 1; and the 6th Air Fleet's ground situation report, for January 1.
