A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE report for Mr Loxley; a BONIFACE report of January 1 at 0955z from the Code and Cypher School (CSS) for the PM via Wing Commander Jones; on Southern Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) review for Italy, on December 30; of an Allied bombing attack on Zara, in Yugoslavia on December 30 and 31; and a GAF situation report on the Italian Front, for December 31; on South-east Europe: that a German operation to capture Mljet on December 31 was carried out according to plan; on the Russian Front: of a reference to defensive battles, on December 31; and the Naval officer in command at Gytheion reports that 450 partisans are marching on Gytheion, information also substantiated by a German agent's report, on January 1.
