This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE report for Mr Loxley; a BONIFACE report from the Code and Cypher School (CSS) signalled to the PM via Hut 3; a SUNSET report; on Southern Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) situation report in Italy for December 26; and a 51st Mountain Corps day report, for December 26; on South-east Europe: two reports on operations in the Adriatic, that Korcula is now in German hands and an operation to capture Mljet is planned for December 30, which was information of December 26 and 27; that as a result of the removal by British and Italian wounded from a hospital ship on December 11, only German wounded in future are to be carried; and on the possibility of operating midget submarines in the Adriatic, on December 26; on the Russian Front: a ground situation report for December 26; that recent successes by the Germans in shooting down Allied aircraft are chiefly due to outstanding performance by searchlights, on December 21; and correspondence concerning a 25% reduction in the establishment of GAF units other than operational units or those connected with the maintenance of operational units, from December 24.
