A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Balkans: a situation report from German Air Force (GAF) Command for the South East for December 18 on Allied aircraft supplying guerrilla bands in the Joannina area and in central and north Albania, and on Allied reconnaissance activity over the Aegean; on Greece: that a mopping up operation north of Olympus is continuing; on Croatia: that an undertaking east of Sarajevo (presumed to be FOCUS) to all intents has been concluded, with German troops in pursuit to the north-west, and with mopping up in north-west Croatia continuing; on Italy: of an Allied air raid on Foligno, on December 19, with approach roads to the airfield being destroyed, a rail station and aircraft factory being heavily hit, and the rail line to Perugia and Ancona being destroyed, while the airfield is fully serviceable; that the 2nd Air Fleet is to provide transport aircraft for the transfer of a fighter force from Lombardy to the area north of Trieste, on December 19; and a 14th Army statement of financial requirements for January 1944 with allocations to its Divisions, on December 12.
