This file includes the following reports on the Balkans: a report from the 264th Division for December 12, noting that guerrillas are withdrawing on Brstanovo; that Chetniks east of Skradin are hard pressed by a band attacking from the Devrsska area and withdrawing to the south; that a railway track was cut in an air raid on Sibenik; that a heavy air raid on Zara damaged the town and harbour; that the steamship March Bianco was hit by a bomb; and that an auxiliary sailing vessel, the Primo, carrying petrol, was blown up; of the Admiral for the Adriatic seeking higher authority for greater German Air Force (GAF) participation in operation PENITENT, on December 17; and from the Fliegerfuehrer Croatia reporting Allied contacts with Tito, on December 6.
