Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Russian Front: the German Naval Liaison Officer with Army Group A reports the situation on December 14, stating that Soviet forces are advancing between Krivoi Rog and Kirovograd; and on Italy: a situation report from the Commander in Chief (CinC) for the South-West for December 3, stating that a rail line between Florence and Castiglione has been broken in several places and bridges near Rimini and Giulia Nova have been destroyed in air raids; that the 44th Grenadier Division Hoch and Deutschmeister, and elements of the 5th Mountain Division have been delayed; and that Bolzano railway station has been damaged in a heavy air raid.
