Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: BONIFACE reports for Brigadier Jacob; and the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); a report from Special Communications Unit (SCU) La Marsa for Spencer, the PM, via Gore-Browne, on December 13; on South-east Europe: of the deteriorating German situation in Gottschee; SUNSET report 409, sent to Washington and La Marsa, on December 13; SUNSET report 410, sent to Washington and La Marsa, on December 14; a report from SCU La Marsa for Spencer via Gore-Browne, on December 14; on South-east Europe: on the German operation FOCUS against guerillas east of Sarajevo, on December 11; that the German Navy are to transfer E-boats from the Aegean to the Adriatic, on December 13; that the 15th Mountain Corps was refused extra fuel and is to report the effect on operation PANTHER; and of the German Air Force (GAF) in Albania's intentions for December 14; on South Europe: the GAF report the use of a new defensive weapon by Allied ground forces, on December 12; that 46 GAF long-range bombers leave Italy for Germany, on December 11; and that 14 GAF bombers leave Italy for Germany, on December 12.
