Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: BONIFACE reports for Brigadier Jacob; Mr Loxley; and the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); on the Southern Russian Front: reports from the Admiral for the Black Sea on the land situation in Crimea, on December 4; on South-east Europe: a request for German Air Force (GAF) support for the 264th Division in Operation STURDY against Solta on December 6; a message from Special Communications Unit (SCU) Cairo for Spencer, the PM, via Gore-Browne (4 copies); on South Europe: a 14th Panzer Corps report, for December 5; of slight battle activity on the 10th Army's front, on December 5; that the Admiral for the Adriatic again calls for air defence against Allied air attacks, on December 3; and that the Admiral for the Adriatic calls for screening vessels for use during an islands operation, on December 4; on South-east Europe: the Germans report Italian volunteers to be deserting, on December 4; of naval arrangements for an operation against Solta, but that operation STURDY, scheduled for December 6, has been postponed; on South-east Europe: of difficulties with cargoes at Sibenik port, on December 3 and 4; and of German naval arrangements in the Adriatic, on December 3 and 4; from Gore-Browne in Cairo, on December 4, regarding the PM's travel arrangements; on the PM's travel plans and BONIFACE service arrangements, for December 5; and on the progress of negotiations, on December 6.
