Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: BONIFACE summaries for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM), Brigadier Jacob and Mr Loxley; on Southern Europe: that on December 1 the 26th Panzer Division was to withdraw to its winter defence line in its own sector, on the Italian west coast; that the 14th Corps considered on December 2 that certain Allied attacks were particularly dangerous for the Corps; that the former Italian cruiser Niobe was to be ready once again for sea operations by December 2; that a landing on Solta was postponed until December 4; and of a German Air Force (GAF) test unit employing rocket gliders against Allied bomber aircraft operating over Germany.
