Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: BONIFACE summaries for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM), Brigadier Jacob and Mr Loxley; on Southern Europe: that an Allied submarine sinks a German naval auxiliary vessel off the Cyclades, on November 25; that, referring to a Berlin order of September 13, the German Air Force (GAF) South-east Command requests 200 anti-aircraft guns in view of the adverse air situation in the Adriatic, Aegean and Black Sea areas, on November 24; of an Allied air raid on Toulon, on November 24, causing considerable Axis losses; that elements of the 2nd Parachute Regiment, last noted at Leros on November 17, are en route to an undisclosed destination on November 24; and that equipment destined for the 2nd Parachute Division, last located in the Rome area, is to be sent to Berdichev in Ukraine.
