Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE report for Mr Loxley; a BONIFACE report for Brigadier Jacob; of training arrangements for 13000 recruits, almost entirely volunteers for parachute work, destined for the new Parachute Division, on November 8; four SIGINT reports signalled from C to Special Communications Unit (SCU) Cairo, on November 23; on Southern Europe: of damage caused as the result of an Allied air raid on Civita Vecchia on November 21; on South-east Europe: that General Mueller has reached Samos on November 22, with no resistance being offered, on November 22; that 2,000 soldiers are alleged to have left Samos for Turkey on November 21 and 22; that the German Air Force (GAF) Command for the South-east considers Allied interest in the Aegean is subsiding, on November 22; and that Army Group E orders preparations to be made for the demolition of harbours on Zante, Cephalonia and Corfu, on November 21.
