This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report for the Deputy Prime Minister (PM); a BONIFACE report for Mr Loxley; a BONIFACE report for Brigadier Jacob; of training arrangements for 13000 recruits, almost entirely volunteers for parachute work, destined for the new Parachute Division, on November 8; four SIGINT reports signalled from C to Special Communications Unit (SCU) Cairo, on November 23; on Southern Europe: of damage caused as the result of an Allied air raid on Civita Vecchia on November 21; on South-east Europe: that General Mueller has reached Samos on November 22, with no resistance being offered, on November 22; that 2,000 soldiers are alleged to have left Samos for Turkey on November 21 and 22; that the German Air Force (GAF) Command for the South-east considers Allied interest in the Aegean is subsiding, on November 22; and that Army Group E orders preparations to be made for the demolition of harbours on Zante, Cephalonia and Corfu, on November 21.
