Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South-east Europe: that German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance revealed the position of the Allied naval forces in the Aegean, on November 8; the 15th Mountain Corps' situation report, for November 8; and that operation STURDY, German operations in the Split area, continued in unfavourable weather, on November 9; on Southern Europe: the Director General of Transportation in Italy reports the destruction statistics of machinery and personnel for October, on November 7; and Hitler gives orders that the SS Panzer Grenadier Division Leibstandarte Adolph Hitler is to be brought up to strength without delay, on October 27; and on the Russian Front: a situation report for November 8 from Army H Group A.
