Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South-east Europe: of landing craft being run aground and missing on the operation on Leros, on November 7; and six situation reports for November 6 from the Italian Front; on the Russian Front: that the Germans envisage a threat to shipping leaving Nikolaev from the Russian occupation, on November 6; and an Army H Group A situation report for November 11; Naval Headlines; and SHARK, reporting success on November 3 and 4.
