Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South-east Europe: that a convoy for the Leros operation was attacked by the Allies but that the convoy is to proceed as planned, on November 6; on the route of the convoy connected with the Leros operation being constantly illuminated by flares, from November 5 to 7; and the Germans appreciate the strength of the Allied sea, land and air defences in the Leros area, on November 7; and on Southern Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) report on an air attack on Vatican City on November 5.
