Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the 29th Goering and possibly 16th Panzer divisions are to be withdrawn from the 10th Army when the final winter line is reached, on October 28; and of air raid damage at Civita Vecchia, on November 1; on South-east Europe: that the 2nd SS Panzer Corps requests extra fuel because of a need for the use of tanks and motorised battle-groups against guerillas, on October 27; and that a German Air Force (GAF) fighter group (which was formerly in Norway) is to transfer to Roumania, on October 31.
