Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of the 16th Panzer Division ranging by spotting aircraft, on October 31; that the Hermann Goering Division is in a rearguard action, on October 31; and that a detachment of the SS Panzer Division Adolf Hitler is to take over tanks at Magdeburg, on October 23; on South-east Europe: that German Air Force (GAF) ground attack aircraft are to limit their use of fuel to the utmost, from October 31; of an Allied air attack on GAF Tirana airfield, on October 31; that the 114th Jaeger Division is to mop up islands in the Split area, on October 31; that GAF support for operation HALFISCH is under discussion, on October 31; and a German report on guerilla activity in Yugoslavia and Greece, on October 27.
