Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the 16th Panzer Division learns of Allied intentions from captured documents, on October 29; and that the 2nd Air Fleet is to secure Italian air defence equipment, on October 26; and on South-east Europe: that German Air Force (GAF) Ju52s are heading to Greece for a parachute operation, on October 28.
