Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South-east Europe: a German final report of the English commando action on Levitha, on October 25; that the Germans take precautions against an Allied landing in the Split area, on October 25; and correspondence on oil exports from Roumania, on October 23; on South Europe: that the German Air Force (GAF) 2nd Air Fleet proposed changes in the dispositions of its air defence artillery units to give extra protection to the 10th Army, on October 24; that the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) South emphasises the importance of coastal shipping as the railways are interrupted, on October 24; and that Hitler gives priority to the removal of Anglo-Saxon PoWs from Italy before the Italians, on October 14; on the Southern Russian Front: of GAF reconnaissance results, on October 25; and Naval Headlines for October 24, including a query from the Prime Minister (PM) on the sinking of a U-boat and the [ADMS'] reply.
