Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the 14th Panzer Corps expects its flank to be turned and to be forced to withdraw on October 23; of the 56th Werfer Regiment being set up in France for the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) South, on October 6; the C-in-C South's situation report, for October 21, noting the German tank situation; of the 334th Infantry Division transferring to north Italy from France, on October 22; that the German Air Force (GAF) in Croatia is unable to supply aircraft to the 264th Infantry Division, on October 21; and that the German Army on the east of Italy is to be supplied by small boats from Venice and Trieste, on October 22; on South-east Europe: a warning of GAF operations in the Aegean, on October 21; and that a GAF hangar construction battalion is to move to Roumania, on October 22; and Naval Headlines, covering the situation of the German warship the Tirpitz; midget submarines being discovered; and the evacuation of Sevastopol.
