A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division's situation report, for October 21; of the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division's intentions, for October 21; that the SS Assault Brigade Reichsfuehrer is to move to Tivoli as Army Group Reserve, on October 19; of a German minelayer being torpedoed and sunk south-east of Elba, on October 22; three reports on ground fighting on October 21 on the Italian Front; and that German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance is to search for assemblies of Allied tanks before the Italian Front on October 22; on South-east Europe: of islands off of Sibernik being occupied by German forces without fighting, on October 21; four reports of Allied raids on Kos, Nisch, Skolpje, Yugoslavia, and Maritza on Rhodes, on October 20; and on the operations of the 12th Panzer Corps on October 21; on the Russian Front: of arrangements for rail and shipping space for transport from Crimea to Nikolayev and Romania, on October 22; and on transport arrangements for Crimea, from October 13; and Naval Headlines. This file also includes the following correspondence: from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, on the stance that German representatives should take regarding the forthcoming Moscow Conference, on October 18; and from the Turkish military attaché in Budapest, describing the dangerous position that Hungarian Divisions are experiencing in Russia, on October 18.
