Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of the German Air Force's (GAF's) intentions in Italy for October 21; that the 76th Corps requested reconnaissance, on October 20; that the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division is to hold its present positions on October 21; the Department for Foreign Armies West's review for October 19 covering the Italian and Balkan theatres; that the Italian Air Force is to be re-established, from October 20; and on the movement of a factory from Schweinfurt, on October 20; and on the Russian Front: of the first reference to night ground attack units, on October 20.
