Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that the Supreme Command of the German Armed Forces draws particular attention to the importance of Elba, on October 17; and three reports on sundry damage caused by Allied raids in central Italy, on October 18; on South-east Europe: the German Air Force (GAF) Command for the South-east reports that an airfield on Kos is unserviceable after an Allied raid on October 19; on a steamship known to have been sunk, on October 19; and a GAF Command for the South-east report on Allied air attacks on Skoplje and on chrome works west of Skoplje, on October 19; and on the Russian Front: that 1000 works troops from the 4th Air Fleet are to proceed immediately to Biala Podlaska, from October 20.
