Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that the last ship is to leave Corsica on October 3; of indications that the German 389th Infantry Division, last known to be in France, may now be in Italy, on September 30; and of the German advance in Istria proceeding smoothly, on October 3; on the Russian Front: that a German Air Force (GAF) transport unit is to be transferred from Russia to south-east Europe, on October 2; and of airfields being required for the GAF, for fighters and close-support units in the area immediately north of Crimea, on September 22.
