Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of the Hermann Goering Division's front line being firmly held, on September 25; a 14th Panzer Corps report, for September 24; that the Germans observe Italian and Gaullist forces to be feeling their way forward in Corsica, on September 25; that the German Air Force (GAF) are to arrange and carry out, when necessary, the evacuation of airfields south of Rome, from September 24; that 13,000 men and equipment were evacuated from Sardinia by September 22, with 14 trainloads of goods sent to Germany from Naples and Rome; and of a GAF attack on the Italian Spezia fleet, on September 9.
