A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report from Brigadier Hollis to the Prime Minister (PM); another BONIFACE report; on Southern Europe: four reports on the situation in Corsica, on September 16; of the withdrawal of a German battle group in southern Corsica under cover of the German Air Force (GAF), on September 17; that the 76th Panzer Corps reveal that an increase of 1329 PoWs have been taken, on September 16; of a German reconnaissance unit's losses through an Allied attack and its retreat to south-east of Battipaglia, on September 16; of indications of preparations for a move away of the GAF ground organization in central Italy, on September 16; and on the situation in northern Italy as regards Italian ships being seized by the Germans, on September 17.
