A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE summary from Brigadier Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); that the Germans were told that the Salerno battle is decisive and, if necessary, they are to use their last reserves from Apulia, on September 14; that the 76th Panzer Corps have taken 2222 prisoners, as of September 15; that the Germans are to re-take northern Corsica, on September 16; on German Air Force (GAF) support for the ground forces on Corsica, on September 16; and that the GAF are to transfer their air defence artillery from Corsica to Elba, on September 16.
