This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE summary from Brigadier Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); on South Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) situation report for September 13, noting evacuation movements have been recognised; German tactical wireless telegraphy situation reports, on the intercept of Allied communications, for September 13-14, and that the evidence of an enemy withdrawal from Salerno has not been confirmed; that the German 10th Army orders troops to Frascati to take over Italian tanks and vehicles, on September 13; an Army Group B day report for September 13, stating that Communist disturbances were crushed; and that the Germans are to dive bomb Leros, if the Italian forces do not capitulate, on September 14.
