A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE summary from Brigadier Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); on South Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) situation report for September 13, noting evacuation movements have been recognised; German tactical wireless telegraphy situation reports, on the intercept of Allied communications, for September 13-14, and that the evidence of an enemy withdrawal from Salerno has not been confirmed; that the German 10th Army orders troops to Frascati to take over Italian tanks and vehicles, on September 13; an Army Group B day report for September 13, stating that Communist disturbances were crushed; and that the Germans are to dive bomb Leros, if the Italian forces do not capitulate, on September 14.
