A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of a German Navy in Italy directive ordering all Naval units and merchant shipping in the area south of Gaeta to be sailed northwards, on September 8; a German naval report of Allied landings at Pizzo and Cape Suvero on September 8; and the German Rearguard Regiment reports Rosarno to be occupied by the Allies, on September 7; and Naval Headlines of September 8, covering three German minesweepers being sunk by torpedo off of Fecamp.
