A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following correspondence: from the Japanese minister in Madrid, on a interview with the Spanish ambassador to Italy, whose offer for Spain to act as a mediator had been turned down by Badoglio; and a report of a meeting between Franco and the U.K. ambassador, on September 3.
