Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE summary from Brigadier Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); on South Europe: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to limit motor transport journeys due to a shortage of fuel and tires, on August 24; of German soldiers in Calabria causing friction by looting houses, on August 23; and on German preparations for a demolition at Marseilles, on August 21; on South-east Europe: that Italian 2nd Army vehicles are to be moved north to avoid air attack, on August 18; and on Western Europe: that a GAF long-range bomber unit is to transfer from Italy to Belgium, on August 19.
