Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE summary from Brigadier Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); on South Europe: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to prepare the demolition of Reggio and Vibo Valentia airfields and withdraw, on August 21; that an air raid causes heavy destruction at Capua railway station, on August 20; of the GAF suffering with malaria in the Foggia area, on August 15; on indications that the Germans are considering an evacuation of Sardinia, on August 19; and that although no there has been no formal agreement, the Italians take the view that PoWs taken in Italy belong to them, on August 19.
