This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE summary from Brigadier Hollis for the Prime Minister (PM); and a SUNSET intelligence report; on South Europe: that Italian E-boats are to be advised of Palermo shipping, and that the Allies hold the north coast as far as Milazzo, on August 13; that the German Air Force (GAF) expect an Allied landing east of Cape Calava on August 14; of railway being lines cut in Calabria, so the Germans are to unload the trains and use vehicles; that the Germans are reinforcing anti-aircraft artillery in the toe of Italy, on August 11; that the Axis accelerated the sailing of landing craft to Messina, on August 12-13; of landing craft at Naples being put on short notice, on August 13; that landing craft were ordered from Vibo Valentia to Messina, on August 13; the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) South's general situation report, for August 11; and that Corsica is to be supplied from Sardinia, from August 5; and on South-east Europe: that the GAF Air Officer Commanding (AOC) orders immediate construction work on airfields in Albania, on August 12.
