Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a BONIFACE report from Brigadier Hollis to the Prime Minister (PM); a daily SUNSET intelligence report; from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, on an interview with Guariglia, on August 5; from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, that great prominence was given to a communiqué of a meeting between Ribbentrop and Guariglia, on August 7; from the Greek ambassador in Ankara, forwarding Turkish information on the Allied air-raids on Hamburg and Ploesti on August 6; from the Portuguese minister in Berlin, describing the increasing evacuation of Berlin, on August 7; from the Greek minister in Lisbon, giving Portuguese views of the German situation, on August 7; from the Japanese minister in Madrid, relaying the Italian ambassador's views on the Italian situation, as at August 2; and from the Portuguese minister in Tokyo, reporting Japanese reactions to the events in Europe, on August 3.
