A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following correspondence: from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, on the Italian situation, as at August 2; from the Japanese ambassador in Madrid, reporting a conversation with the German ambassador on the Italian situation, on July 31; from the Portuguese minister in Bucharest, on the Romanian situation, as of August 4; from the Japanese ambassador in Istanbul, relating the views of the Marquis del Grillo on the Italian situation, on August 3; from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, German Luftwaffe communiqu�s on Allied air-raids on Hamburg, on July 28; from the Japanese minister in Berne, describing Swiss reactions to the Italian situation, on July 31; from the Japanese ambassador in Berne, detailing Swiss reactions to the Italian situation, on July 31; and from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, on the Allied air-raids of Hamburg, on July 31.
