Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that a large proportion of the aircraft fuel on Sardinia is to be removed to Genoa, on August 3; of superior Allied forces attacking the 15th Panzer Division, on August 3; and on a leave ban and official journeys by train, on August 4; from the Italian Admiralty in Rome, on shipping departing Toulon, on August 4; and from the German secret service, that clarification from the German government on the German troop build-up in northern Italy is sought, on August 4.
