Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: a situation report from the German Air Force (GAF) on central Italy and Sicily, for August 2; and that more mechanised transport fuel is needed on Corsica, from July 30; on Germany: that the destruction of railways in north-west Germany is preventing the punctual delivery of aircraft spare parts, on August 1; and on the air situation for July 24 and 25 including a mention of heavy damage caused in Hamburg, on July 26.
