Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: an activity report for July 27, including an Allied air raid on Scalea airfield; that Sicilian Flak units were warned of the Allied use of tin foil strips to confuse the radio location system, and that they are to be supplied with counter-measure procedures, on July 29; Bari reports that air raid damage to its Rail lines is not great, on July 28; and on the re-routing of trains destined for Brindisi-Taranto, due to a line blockage in the Foggia area, on July 28.
