This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: an activity report for July 27, including an Allied air raid on Scalea airfield; that Sicilian Flak units were warned of the Allied use of tin foil strips to confuse the radio location system, and that they are to be supplied with counter-measure procedures, on July 29; Bari reports that air raid damage to its Rail lines is not great, on July 28; and on the re-routing of trains destined for Brindisi-Taranto, due to a line blockage in the Foggia area, on July 28.
