This file includes the following reports on Italy: a German report from Rome giving an eye-witness account of the revolution, on July 26; on Southern Europe: of the 2nd Air Corps' orders to fighter units to keep a reserve of fuel sufficient to transfer to Northern Italy at short notice, on July 28; that the German Air Force (GAF) are planning to identify and smash Allied concentrations in Sicily to inhibit preparations for large-scale attacks, on July 27; of orders from Fieldmarshal Richthofen to the 2nd Air Fleet for the development and defence of airfields, on July 27; a situation report for July 27 for the Agira sector; and SHARK: for July 19.
