This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that elements of the 1st Parachute Division are to be ferried over to Sicily from Reggio on the orders of the 15th Panzer Corps, on July 26; a situation report for July 27, describing Allied air raids on Reggio, Naples, Monte Corvino, Scalea and the Capua area, and on Etna, Taormina and Alemarina road traffic; and from the Japanese minister in Madrid, on Italian preparations for an armistice, on July 26.
