Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that elements of the 1st Parachute Division are to be ferried over to Sicily from Reggio on the orders of the 15th Panzer Corps, on July 26; a situation report for July 27, describing Allied air raids on Reggio, Naples, Monte Corvino, Scalea and the Capua area, and on Etna, Taormina and Alemarina road traffic; and from the Japanese minister in Madrid, on Italian preparations for an armistice, on July 26.
