Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: two situation reports for Sicily on July 24 and 25; of damage caused by an air raid on Foggia, on July 24; that tanks for the Hermann Goering Division are en route from Germany, on July 23; that the naval authorities in Taranto were instructed to assist in safeguarding public order, on July 25; and that an Allied landing is appreciated as apparently only agents are being put ashore; on South-east Europe: a situation report for July 25; and a situation report for July 23 on the Russian and Sicilian fronts.
