A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: a situation report on Sicily for July 21; and of an effective Allied air raid on Monte Corvino, south of Naples, on July 20; from the Portuguese minister in Rome, describing the internal political situation, as at July 19; and from the Afghan Legation in Rome, on the Allied attack on Rome, on July 20.
