This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: a situation report on the front line in Sicily, for July 21; a day report for July 19 on ground operations in Sicily; a German intelligence report of July 17 on Allied intentions in Sicily; and that the German Air Force (GAF) claims 37000 tons of Allied shipping were damaged during the night of July 18 off Augusta.
